I was just googling something about blade runner and the page had a captcha asking me to prove I’m not a robot

@mraharrison I've been thinking about this more.

One area that is often missing in CS course is how to plan a program. How to get students from understanding a language to creating something from scratch with that language.

@mraharrison I teach secondary students, so I would be interested in anything from introduction through to advanced beginners.

What I would like is a focus on a specific topic (eg. For loops) and then a discussion around various ways to teach them.

@mraharrison absolutely. That's something that I'm looking for.

As mediation of Lattouf case hits a stalemate,

… reports that ABC Journalists are deleting social media content associated with Human Rights Watch.

So much for a ‘Frank and fearless’ Australian Broadcasting Corporation under current leadership.

The current ABC fears reporting about human rights issues. A sad state of affairs for Australian liberal democracy.

From the ABC’s news, the deadpan sentence ‘The UK does not have a good record of military intervention in the Middle East.’ But unclarified in context. Does this mean, in the last ten years, twenty five years, hundred years, two hundred years, seven hundred years etc. etc.

Why do they make crayons so many different colours when they all taste the same?

This is hilarious. It appears that Twitter is DDOSing itself.

The Twitter home feed's been down for most of this morning. Even though nothing loads, the Twitter website never stops trying and trying.

In the first video, notice the error message that I'm being rate limited. Then notice the jiggling scrollbar on the right.

The second video shows why it's jiggling. Twitter is firing off about 10 requests a second to itself to try and fetch content that never arrives because Elon's latest genius innovation is to block people from being able to read Twitter without logging in.

This likely created some hellish conditions that the engineers never envisioned and so we get this comedy of errors resulting in the most epic of self-owns, the self-DDOS.

Unbelievable. It's amateur hour.
