Episode 9 | Demystifying strategic planning with Dave Algoso

Having a clear strategy can dramatically improve the way your team functions. But developing a clear strategy? It’s not always so easy. In this week’s episode, Alix sits down with social change strategist and facilitator Dave Algoso to demystify strategic planning. They discuss the elements of a good strategic planning process and identify common pitfalls to help you avoid going astray. Whether you’re kicking off a formal strategic planning process or just trying to figure out a way to keep your remote team moving in the same strategic direction, Dave’s guidance will help you build a better, more intentional process to reach your goals.   After you listen, find Dave at algoso.org and say hello here. __ For more, check out our website or follow Alix on Twitter.

Another day in the USA

*content warning: school shootings* Yesterday was another day in the USA. It doesn't matter which day I post this: according to The Gun Violence Archive, there have been 130 mass shootings so far this year.

I came across a paper I wrote in undergrad (!) with my prof's handwritten feedback in the margins. He said I needed to write more "pellucidly and accessibly". I had to look up the word "pellucidly" and discovered it has the same meaning as "lucidly". So, yeah. Thanks for the advice.
where in the world is
I first moved to NYC almost 15 years ago but Hoyt-Schermerhorn still confuses my simple sense of geography: I want the G train that goes deeper into Brooklyn and it’s heading the same direction as the ACs heading to Manhattan. 🔀

@chriscorrigan Nice, but I’m hoping there are some windows outside the frame. My requirement # 1 is natural light.
