I've been talking with an academic researcher who is interested in speaking with people who have shut down their fediverse servers, for any reason.

I know it's a touchy subject so I didn't want to just refer her directly to people, but if you are seeing this message and you're interested, please DM me and I will give you her email. I did a 1-hour interview with her on more general topics and really enjoyed the experience.

It's always a struggle to show junior-level data analysts how to offer potential explanations and opinions for what they report when they feel their main job is simply presenting the numbers.

Really starting to feel as though this space is a place I want to go to for interesting conversations among friends and acquaintances. It's not quite what we had in the old days (yet) but it's definitely not the mess I'd been experiencing in recent years.
