🇮🇷 Update: Brief returns of internet access are driving spikes in Snowflake usage. Please help us run more proxies if you can. ❄️ snowflake.torproject.org

The easiest ways to run Snowflake is by using Tor Browser, Orbot, or installing the browser add on in your current browser. Extra capacity helps people in Iran stay connected when the network comes back online.

@alice Those are some really nice tats. I've been thinking about getting one one my chest and am wondering how long yours took and if it was painful.
In the last five years, we've gone from "employees will never have to go into an office" to "employees need to be in the office because creative and innovative work can only be done face-to-face between humans" to "lol we don't need humans"
@theprivacyfoundation Unless it's someone who knows what they're doing regular people should use the tor browser instead of relying on a VPN. There's too many sketchy-at-best and honeypot-at-worst vpns out there.
What's up with ai scrappers? Are they vibe coded? They seem intentionally poorly programmed. I get not following robots.txt cuz what are ethics and money machine go burrr but scraping the same link multiple times a second really isn't helping you.
@taylorlorenz If you open up that page and check the meta tags it has:
<meta name="robots" content="noindex">

@catsalad now we have to look up what the random led colors and flashes mean.
@RickiTarr Call the infosec department. Someone there will have a tubular lockpick and a willingness to hack it.
@tilde I'm not certain I understand the issue then. If the goal is to have a local copy of your email where each individual message is a separate file then pop3 was built for that usecase. It downloads the entire message for you to do whatever with instead of just streaming the content to your client (IMAP).
