Check out the website from Climate Trace - a map of the biggest greenhouse gas emitting locations such as airports and power plants, based on Machine Learning and the data of 300 satellites and 11,000 other sensors around the world.

It could for example be used to verify carbon emission reporting of companies. But first, of course, it would be interesting to know how accurate these numbers are.

To the point and still around 400 pages strong, this book, written by Niklas Sundberg, is what I consider a must-read for everyone who is interested in Green IT. Or for technology leaders who want to be prepared for the upcoming challenges in IT because one thing is for sure - our industry has to and will change soon!
