Check out the website from Climate Trace - a map of the biggest greenhouse gas emitting locations such as airports and power plants, based on Machine Learning and the data of 300 satellites and 11,000 other sensors around the world.

It could for example be used to verify carbon emission reporting of companies. But first, of course, it would be interesting to know how accurate these numbers are.
