This small ribbed bowl is a fine example of early Imperial Roman glassmaking. It was produced in the 1st c. AD and found in Trier. The vessel was formed from coloured glass with a striking marbled effect in dark and yellow tones.
Such vessels were prized tableware, used for serving small portions of food and drink. They testify to the spread of Roman dining culture and luxury goods into the provinces.

I shouldn’t have to say this, but please don’t post direct links to the elementary OS ISO, especially on release day. This is my only form of income and I really don’t make a lot of it. I want to keep making elementary OS as my job, but when you bypass our pay-what-you-can ask it cuts directly into the revenue I rely on to pay rent and buy food. The vast majority of people already pay nothing when they download. Please don’t take away the biggest opportunity I have for folks to support my work

Please understand that insinuating women dealing with borderline creepy or mansplainy content online should simply solve the problem by just setting their profiles to private is a silencing tactic. I've benefited from other women making their work very public, and I view a lot of my more personal writing as paying it back and contributing to helping other women feel less alone in navigating patriarchy. I truly don't care what men's feelings are anymore.

@xgranade AI has helped me get motivated to write code!

For example, I once said "I could make a script for that but meh, I won't have it ready for Monday", a friend said "ask ChatGPT to do it", and that suggestion disgusted me so much that I wrote the script by hand in 15 minutes out of spite 🙃
