It's only quiet over here cos we're not saying anything.
Hello fellow #edutooter s.
Today, @[email protected] has announced the first national strike in its 106-year history.
Nurses across the UK are underpaid and overworked.
They’re not just fighting for themselves – they’re fighting for our NHS.
RT if you’re behind them 💙

I've been signposting the #EduTooter hashtag over here and there, so when people arrive, they can search the hashtag and find familiar faces.
Great to see the #EduTooter hash tag getting some traction.
Of you're interested in connecting with (largely uk) teachers and educators, its a great start point.
Reblogging posts from good people also helps connect a positive experience.
The most interesting potential* of edumastodon is the great levelling of follower numbers

This is a cool thing which we couldn't do back on twitter.
If you're posting about things which could be triggering or unwelcome or just quite scroll byable, tap the speech bubble with the exclamation point and it will give you a banner to type in - homophobia, violence, not safe for work, gory images, cat porn - make it easier for people to not have to see things they don't want to see.
I should have done this when I shared screen shots yesterday.
