@davidbombal sudo lsof /var/lib/dpkg/lock and go from there. You definitely don't want to stop any upgrade at the wrong time. Especially if it's grub, kernel, etc.
@nicd meaning you either don't implement security patches on time or let the old versions run when they shouldn't.
@[email protected] didn’t you just answer your own question? Deck is great but has some severe limitations as it’s only a gen 1 device. The performance is going to keep gradually increasing with each proton update, but I wouldn’t expect any miracles.
If you want to buy it and intend to play AAA titles on it, the only benefit of it is portability. So if I were you, I’d either wait and observe handhelds market or figure out whether any other type of games would be of any interest to you :)
@theTractor choose a Linux distribution of your liking and use WM instead of a full blown DE
@johnny I guess something like Lemmy would be more on point
@OtomeKame well, I think they're going to go ahead with their plans either way. And seems like I'm not the only one since I've noticed a massive traffic increase all around Lemmy.
@KorayKaratay did you check out the comments on protondb?
@FozillaMirefox The game itself is nice and polished, but I had issues with it too. It's especially annoying if I get disconnected after doing most of the dungeon just to log back in and find myself in the city instead.
@FozillaMirefox I hate it that this game feels polished and decent (aside of always online)
