@BentleGiant I was over the moon when the twins were old enough to "be people" and hold conversations and have reasoning. I think somewhere around 3?
It's hell doing it all on your own right now, but you're not too far off from that transition to "kid" where the fun part starts!
Maybe we're bad parents, but they were hot-seating Elden Ring at 4.5 y/o. Just to give you an idea of how fast that ramp-up is. 😆

@BentleGiant the toddler stage is just incredibly rough. All the mobility without any of the self-preservation.

@BentleGiant our place is a perpetual disaster, and work days tend to be extremely long to make up for the childcare hours. Hopefully it's a little bit of solace that it does get easier when they're old enough for compulsory ("free") school and can (safely) entertain themselves.
The current go-to is art supplies, play-doh or kinetic sand, and lego sets that we've already built for them (but they can rebuild however they want for their minifig antics).
