Doing a ton of work, parenting, and marriaging. I squeeze in reading and video games instead of sleep sometimes.
@benjimnn Yes, I could see that toot on the web interface. I was 49% leaning toward moving to the Games instance, anyway (the team there is great), so I’m going to create an account there to see if it’s any different. Thanks for helping to test a couple of things! I appreciate it.

@benjimnn Thanks! Hope I’m not bugging you with this, but it’s been the thing that made it easiest to move to Mastodon by far, and I really miss it. You do follow the account on Mastodon to see it in your feed like other posts, right?

When I go to follow the Nintendo account, even using another account and instance, I still can’t find it (see below). Maybe multiple instances are blocking it, but this seems crazy.

@benjimnn I am so baffled trying to figure this one out. I was following about seven accounts (bird.makeup) and none are working. Such as @[email protected]: I see there are 166 posts but when I try to view them, it says “No posts found.” All of them appear to have me as the only follower. I’ve tried in different iOS clients.

When I search for those in the Mastodon client, they don’t come up at all. Wonder if it’s something related to the instance. Can you point me to one of yours that posted today?

@benjimnn Fascinating. Really good pickup! Very, very hard to think of any.

Only other obvious exception is Spice World, because the Spice Girls first take the world by storm with their amazing charisma, and only then does the antagonist surface to try to stop them from doing so.

@benjimnn Looks like bird.makeup conked out. 😢 As in the whole instance is showing as not working properly. Hoping it comes back! I even donated to the guy on Patreon as way of thanks. 😄
Tweetbot and Twitterrific Face the Cliff

There is something noble about two longtime rivals — competitors, yes, but with nothing but deep respect and camaraderie for each other — facing this terrible cliff together, with dignity and grace, considering their users first, as ever.

Daring Fireball
@benjimnn Yeah, but condensed soup is like stuffing four balls instead of two into the same space. That just ain’t right.
Calling February the shortest month of the year is some serious gaslighting on someone’s part. And I fall for it every time!

“‘Everything is extraordinary about you, Tress,’ her mother said. ‘That’s why nothing in particular stands out.’

Well, parents have to say things like that. They’re required to see the best in their children, otherwise living with the little sociopaths would drive a person mad.”

– Tress of the Emerald Sea (Brandon Sanderson)

@benjimnn Yessss.
