Doing a ton of work, parenting, and marriaging. I squeeze in reading and video games instead of sleep sometimes.
@benjimnn Looks like bird.makeup conked out. 😢 As in the whole instance is showing as not working properly. Hoping it comes back! I even donated to the guy on Patreon as way of thanks. 😄
Tweetbot and Twitterrific Face the Cliff

There is something noble about two longtime rivals — competitors, yes, but with nothing but deep respect and camaraderie for each other — facing this terrible cliff together, with dignity and grace, considering their users first, as ever.

Calling February the shortest month of the year is some serious gaslighting on someone’s part. And I fall for it every time!

“‘Everything is extraordinary about you, Tress,’ her mother said. ‘That’s why nothing in particular stands out.’

Well, parents have to say things like that. They’re required to see the best in their children, otherwise living with the little sociopaths would drive a person mad.”

Websites should go ahead and change the “Place Order” button to read, “Place Order and Please Let Me Know About Your Products Via Email Every 2-3 Days In The Desperate Hope That We’ll Wear You Down and You’ll Purchase Something From Us. (Also, This Button Overrides Unchecking the Opt-In Checkbox You See Above Because It’s, Like, Way Bigger.)”

That is probably too difficult to fit on the page, I’m guessing.

No matter how we improve ourselves and our careers over the years, it’s incredible to truly stop and consider how much the best parts of ourselves come from picking up the best parts of *other* people around us. It’s especially easy to forget how the vast amount of our professional knowledge came from a kind lesson or an inspirational performance by a co-worker.

Going forward, I’m making a renewed effort to send notes of appreciation to those who have impacted me positively along the way. ❤️

Some people believe there's no purpose to "liking" something on Mastodon since it doesn't affect any algorithm.

Not the case.

It does something incredibly valuable: it acknowledges people.

Which is incredibly powerful, and is all the more important *because* it's not connected to gaming any algorithm.

By liking something on Mastodon, you are doing it honestly -- without any agenda at play other than that you like it.

So go ahead. Click that like button for its own sake.

By all appearances, @ivory is here for real now! 🎉

This is also a friendly reminder that multiple things can be great at the same time, so if you enjoy your current client, that’s terrific! It deserves your love and attention, as do its developers. ❤️

I love the changing of seasons…but I’m currently writing a petition to shorten winter and summer to two months each, while expanding both spring and fall to four.

Just not sure where to send it.

Adulthood means being able to buy as many video games as you ever wanted, but having absolutely no time to play them.
