And the fact that these big software companies are more valuable than TSMC and ASML shows how stupid these evaluations are.
Thank you for saying it. I have seen this on YouTube more and more and I thought I was going crazy. Videos that seems normal, done by the person and narrated by them but the script was was full of this “not just X, Y” type of pattern, and I was like “man if you gonna bother to record your narration why not at least fix the obvious LLM vibe of the text”. Like, if you gonna use AI and try to be sneak about it why not so it right. It is so middle of the road, like, not fully automated AI slop, but also not fully your creation. I question if not other parts were IA also, like the narration is now so good that I can’t pick it up, specially if not my native language. In any case, it is a shame, it like ruins all the effort the creator put elsewhere.
This is the only series that I rewatch a bunch of times. I miss it so much, after 1 or 2 years I have to watch it again.
It is so good, I wish people would freak out more about. Weirdly enough I wish they do not make sequels, as not to tarnish this beautiful, perfect series.

That is just too on the nose, didn’t they know that Frankie Boyle quote?

“Not only will America go to your country and kill all your people. But they’ll come back 20 years later and make a movie about how killing your people made their soldiers feel sad.” — Frankie Boyle

An old but gold would be any Max Payne game. I only played the first one but boy, was it awesome. I think it ticks many of what you mentioned:

  • 3rd Person
  • Story- driven (it has a great narration and comic book style to tell the story between chapters)
  • solid gun fight with the famous bullet time. There is no upgrade, just new guns
  • Not complicated, go forward and shoot things
  • No attributea at all.

The only thing you may not like is the graphics.

I totally agree with elements of a art genre being used and becoming popular and all. I guess that is in part how new genres form. And that no work is “true” 100% in a genre otherwise it would be just more of the same and all that. I just feel that there is a line, a feel to say that this work core genre/vibes is cyberpunk instead of having cyberpunk elements. And for sure there are works that defy having a core genre at all and is really a blend of genres or its own thing.

I just want to push back slightly, in my opinion, about Ghost in the shell forgoing the low life. I think it is not the main aspect and main theme but I think it shows it in the aesthetic of the city and some characters like the garbage truck driver. I feel if it had no low-life aspects the profession of garbage management would look different.

After seeing a compilation video of Philomena Cunk telling stories or her mate Paul now every time I see that name in my mind I read “my mate Paul” with her voice.

It is an old joke that I thought was very well known, at least for people that know about emacs, my mistake, but hey, Luck 10.000 of you, so here it goes:

“Emacs is a great operating system, lacking only a decent text editor”

I love insta ramen. I really do, and you can do a lot of variations, and I am not saying stuff that is like cook a meal and add ramen. Just simples stuff that is extra delicious.

For example, if I like the seasoning I sometimes save extra seasoning packages to make it extra seasoned.

You can make it and drain most or all water, add seasoning and butter and that is it, awesome.

You can drain some or all water and add heavy cream or even just milk, butter and extra seasoning. I like this chicken of beef bouillon, but any seasoning that you like works, just need to be something that dissolves easily and you don’t need to cook for a long time you extract flavor.

If you are feeling fancy you can add some hotdogs.

That is it, I love it and would eat more and pass on a lot of dishes for insta ramen but when I do people think I am only choosing ramen because I don’t like the other options, like a last resort, but cound not be further than the true. I tell people I really like it and prefer it, but they have a hard time believing me.
