I think its a matter of expectation. I expected going into in to be some spec evo based. But alas it was not so I dropped it.

The series does some remarkable things with symbiosis and parasitism and never have I watched a work of fiction who at tirelessly puts effort into their biomes even if it’s not grounded on life as we know it.

If you keep watching you’ll learn that the show is well aware of that and doesn’t shy away from leaning into the fantasy of it!

It is so good, I wish people would freak out more about. Weirdly enough I wish they do not make sequels, as not to tarnish this beautiful, perfect series.
