@tillybridges But this is a wonderful story, one that I missed out on when I watched it originally. I understood the allegory of the original trilogy immediately, but this one took some thought analysis , and research to parse. And the trans experience simluacrum runs so very deep. Thank you for reminding me to revisit this series in a way other than how it was important to me at the time.
Alright, I rewatched Matrix: Resurrections in light of @tillybridges writings, and while I enjoyed the film more than most at the outset, through her lens, it's a much more complex and nuanced work than I realized. I just wish they had had a better budget for musing and eyewear design

@tillybridges I just finished your posts on chasers and general transmysogyny, and sweet, merciful crap, I am so sorry for what you have to go through on top of everything else. Now that I have an idea of what to look for, I'll be more vigilant and better equipped to call out some of the fuckers perpetrating this. Even as an effectively cis-het white man, I genuinely do not understand these people in any capacity. But now that I know, I'll push back harder
