Fresh on the heels of today’s news of Begin being acquired by Sanity, here’s what’s happening with @enhance_dev moving forward.

Spoiler: Enhance isn’t going anywhere!

Enhance is Here to Stay — Enhance

The Begin team joins Sanity; Enhance lives on!

A wonderful and bittersweet day: Begin is joining Sanity (sanity.io): https://www.sanity.io/blog/welcoming-the-begin-team-to-sanity

Our post: https://begin.com/blog/posts/2024-10-23-sunsetting-begin

Feeling immense gratitude for the team we built, the customers that invested in building their apps and systems with the tools we created, the investors who supported us through thick and thin, and for the folks at Sanity with whom we'll journey onward. 💕

Thrilled to say that our team has been acquired by Sanity!

It's been an absolute joy to have worked on Begin and Enhance with @brianleroux @ryan @kristoferjoseph @macdonst @tbeseda and @ryanbethel — truly the loveliest team & friends I could've asked for.

We're going to be taking on some very exciting challenges and opportunities with Sanity. Stay tuned!

(I'll be writing up a separate article for the @enhance_dev blog, but rest assured: Enhance is here to stay!)

This is me, too! Stoked to be at Sanity with my incredibly talented peers (old and new).

Key points right now:
- Begin will run until Dec 31 🌅
- Begin apps work as-is on personal AWS (this path was always a goal of Begin!) - more docs/process incoming 📜
- Architect @arcserverless and Enhance @enhance_dev will be maintained 💪

Excited that we can finally talk about this big news. We are absolutely stoked to be joining Sanity. I chart my career using the guiding principle of “solve interesting problems with cool people”. At Sanity we'll be able to keep working on challenging problems with a much larger team. Many of whom I got to meet at a recent company offsite. https://begin.com/blog/posts/2024-10-23-sunsetting-begin https://www.sanity.io/blog/welcoming-the-begin-team-to-sanity

Damn, the security features coming to #CSS are impressive

Something I continue to be so proud of is the work @ryanbethel and I did to create the Image component and service for @enhance_dev.

Responsive images can be so time consuming to create and author, and this totally frees me up to do other things just by using a simple web component & CI action. Plus Ryan’s cache warming implementation makes them so fast to load for visitors.

Definitely recommend trying it out if you haven’t yet!
