At first I thought that was a picture of a spool of thread next to the "high fiber" label, which at least made some sort of amusing sense to me. On closer inspection it seems to be a sealed packet made of paper or fabric or foil. I wonder what the implied contents of the packet are. Maybe it's something I'd recognize if I lived in Europe? Like maybe a soluble fiber powder that people stir into their porridge? Reminds me of those desiccant packets that come in bottles of vitamins.
I'm pretty sure "pervertial" is correct, but what do I know.

Having one of those Darwin Poorly days, though not quite this bad.

I expect I'll get over it soon, but it sure is cranky-making.

Another wardrobe detail. His boots don't have a boot-like heel, like he usually has. They are kind of dorky, almost like a kid's galoshes. Somebody on Reddit called them "clown shoes". I find them endearing. I believe this was another deliberate decision. This Superman radiates innocence and kindness, not alpha male energy, and I'm here for it. Superman in the movies has been taking himself too seriously for a long time.
Right at the beginning of the new Superman movie I noticed they used a comfy blanket-like material for his cape, almost fleece-like, instead of something satiny or leathery. To me it was a detail that helped make him more relatable and down-to-earth.

Glad I was up early enough today to enjoy a beautiful Philly sunrise -- via webcam. This is Logan Square. The big building in the middle is the main branch of the public library.

Maybe one of these days I'll actually, you know, get out of the house.
