More Temple of the Sun campaign in Hammerwatch, now actually featuring the Temple of the Sun
I think the DLSS5 stuff looks weird and is being justifiably roasted by gamers right now. If you're a games artist who likes it - good for you I suppose.
But the thing I see no one talking about is the absolute lock in Nvidia is trying with this. The model is - so far - closed and only available on Nvidia hardware. It would be an end to cross platform releases that look the same. AMD and Apple (Silicon) would be not be able to render the same output at all.
After a week of demos, and then 2 more weeks of... finishing really good demos, I'm finally getting back around to Hammerwatch's second campaign, Temple of the Sun.
I've been diving well beyond where the Nox Mortalis demo expected or intended me to, because it's just that interesting. And I've got at least one more area left to investigate..
Planning to run through the 2 arcade shmups in the Shmup Book Club rotation, however many credits it takes, just to see everything they throw at the player. Then might give Jamestown+'s oops-all-zoomies ship another go.
Cool, so... someone noticed vibe-coded commits going into Lutris, and the maintainer's stance is apparently... to go back and remove the LLM's attribution to hide the fact that the repo is now effectively vibe-coded.
Not terribly pleased that GloriousEggroll (a name you may recognize from the custom Proton builds) has a shit take on this as well.
I "finished" the Nox Mortalis demo... but then I kept finding more stuff to investigate. So we're investigating more stuff tonight
