Had the need to read one of our old papers and had forgotten this "contributions" section. Brings back very happy memories. Perhaps we should always treat this section as a diary for academics! @danieljamesyon and Cecilia Heyes. https://www.nature.com/articles/s41467-020-18332-9
Beliefs and desires in the predictive brain - Nature Communications

Bayesian brain theories suggest that perception, action and cognition arise as animals minimise the mismatch between their expectations and reality. This principle could unify cognitive science with the broader natural sciences, but leave key elements of cognition and behaviour unexplained.

First toot! New NBR article w @danieljamesyon & @emilythomas : https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0149763422005012. Recent evidence shows that action predictions do not necessarily attenuate perception; the relationship is more nuanced. Here we outline suggestions for how to thus remove/replace "cancelling" assumptions from agency & action control theories.
