Oct 14 Firefox 144 will ship JS-powered view transitions with `startViewTransition`. 🎉

Of course, this is only the first step because we're all waiting for cross-document view transitions, too, but I'm still very happy about view transitions being on their way to work everywhere.

@zachleat cool article! I wonder if you have also looked at how much a Temporal API polyfill might weigh in. I wonder if it is a solid option to use that and just remove it when the promised day finally comes 😄

@baldur I recently decided to use a service worker to avoid problems with multiple tabs reading and writing data. Comes with its own can of complexity tbf
