I do stuff, I have opinions. These are not necessarily my employers opinions. I think I'm funny.

I, like Mark Twain, believe that "Under certain circumstances, profanity provides a relief denied even to prayer."

I also believe that "Profanity is the crutch of the inarticulate motherfucker."

@britt HOW IS THAT RELEVANT TO MEDICAL TREATMENT???!!!!

Added context to above post:

Edmonton has a high population of immigrants and I think that asking those questions (as a white immigrant) on a written form has a high probability of causing people to be stigmatized or to be treated differently due to their country of origin or ethnicity.

I also think it’s a human rights and privacy issue.

This morning in *I’m so tired of Alberta and its disjointed medical system.* (with humour)

So, I’m filling out a form prior to a minor medical test/procedure for a new specialist.

The form says at THE VERY TOP:

“Ethnicity _____”
“What country were you born in?”

I’ve seen A LOT of the medical system and I’ve never, ever been asked that before on a medical form.

Fuck. Off.

Maybe I should fill in the blanks with such words?

I laughed, because it's true!

Brother William smiled like the sun. "Yes! We preach against the evils of technology. We interview prominent people in the field, discuss the problems that technology brings, and preach the pursuit of a simpler and less stressful life. We call it The Luddite World!"

Amy frowned. "And this is... a Podcast?"

"Indeed! We're even on Spotify!"

@dgar A good set of speakers is a sound investment.

Dad always said “Good speakers are essential for listening to music.”

It was sound advice.

If you need a timeline cleanser this morning ...

Sent a pull request to Audacity fixing a crash bug I'd been running into frequently. The cause was an out-of-bounds memmove. Classic C++ areas.

Anyway I got a fucking copilot review on my PR which left two comments, both completely wrong, one of which suggesting I reintroduce the out of bounds memory access. I'm furious!
