@sickill @augustl Apparently they closed registrations when the site was doing 4000 messages/hour. That's a whopping 1+ message a second that the software was unable to process properly...

More characters is good, but 500 is... A lot. Having a 500 char "wall of text" toot from a stranger boosted into my timeline is not great.
