The system off the Florida coast has now been designated Invest 99L.
If it organizes & becomes a subtropical storm, it will be named #Ophelia.
Regardless of name or PTC designation, it will likely be a wet & windy start to the weekend for ENC.
I'm diving deeper into the #troPYcal scripts. Even edited a couple of the scripts to customize the maps for #Hurricane #Lee and #Margot.

Here's a short #thunderstorm #timelapse I captured this afternoon while visiting my parents in NE NC.
It went severe just after it passed (and after I quickly dropped my drone from the sky 🤣).
20 years ago today, I started nchurricane.com as a way to learn HTML/CSS, using my love of #weather.
Through it, I've learned so much from the weather community and met so many wonderful people.
And, hopefully, I've helped someone along the way, too.

The latest track for #Idalia has it making a turn to the east & off the southeast NC coast, but effects will be far away from the center.
