It’s been a while since I’ve posted here. I’ve been mainly on Bluesky. But I do miss this place.
I think I’ll post here more often. Things seem to be kicking back up here.

2023 was a year to remember.

It started with caring for my sick elderly dog and helping her cross the rainbow bridge in March.

Then I joined a company that turned out not to be what I was led to believe. TBH, there were some serious red flags early on that I should have paid attention to.

Then we had a medical scare that took a lot of time, care, and focus to help recuperate.

And now I'm helping get a cybersecurity startup off the ground as CTO.

I'm looking forward to what 2024 brings.

I'm just blocking "liberals" who say they can't bring themselves to vote for Biden/Harris because he's "disappointed" them on some issue or other.

The choice is between preserving and expanding democracy and letting fascists destroy democracy altogether.

This is so obvious and well-known that I have to suspect that many of these accounts are actually sleepers set up to bait and switch, aiming to put liberals off of voting.

I'm surprised that SBF's indictment and trial resolved within a year. Everybody knew exactly how this was going to turn out last year.

@rebeccawatson That reminds of those videos of people grilling watermelon as if it was steak. The end result looks exactly like a rare cooked steak, but I’m like yeah but so what, it will still taste like watermelon. You’re not fooling me.

@GottaLaff This is probably cause the apps on your new phone don't have your new device notification id, You probably need to do this with each app.
As a mobile & backend developer this has always been the most frustrating issue to deal with.

@GottaLaff Only thing I can think of that I haven't seen mentioned is your focus mode. Turn it off or put it on Open or something.
