i keep seeing this atlantic article titled "substack has a nazi problem" floating around mastodon and like... is there a free online social media platform in the west that *doesn't* have a nazi problem? like aren't meta's content mods fmr mossad / cia? lol

is there a way for creators to compare how bad each platform is in terms of training generative ai? i'm guessing no, since platforms are partnering w/ ai companies and changing their t&c like every few months. it's hard to keep up. i bet instagram is the worst offender
i've been waiting months for my pixelfed.art account to be approved. i guess i'll give up on it for now.
i am drawn to the slowness & simplicity of substack (some of my fav artists are on there), but apparently it uses your content to train ai. maybe not as bad as ig though?
