@rbreich At this point I don't know why they care about the 2nd Amendment at all. If you're willing to give up every right except that one, what do you even need the guns to protect you from anymore?
@parkermolloy Deep down they know they just did the same thing the right does with its conspiracy theories. On a smaller scale, and less harmful, but in spirit it's the same. They heard what they wanted to hear and they bought into it without question.
They obviously feel bad about this mistake. And it's easier to take that out on the person pointing it out than to learn from it and grow.
