ALTERTHESS: Απορρίφθηκε η έφεση για το SLAPP, συνεχίζει τον αγώνα, καμπάνια οικονομικής υποστήριξης
Η έφεσή μας απορρίφθηκε: Συνεχίζουμε τον αγώνα για την ελευθερία της πληροφόρησης
🗣Δεν έχουμε καλά νέα, ούτε για μας ούτε για τη δημοσιογραφία.
⚖️Πριν λίγο διάστημα λάβαμε γνώση της απόφασης του Εφετείου Αθηνών που απέρριψε την έφεσή μας ενάντια στην πρωτόδικη απόφαση για την αγωγή #SLAPP (Στρατηγικές Αγωγές Ενάντια στη Δημόσια Συμμετοχή) που λάβαμε τον Οκτώβριο του 2021 (η δημοσιογράφος Σταυρούλα Πουλημένη και το Alterthess) από τον Ευστάθιο Λιάλιο, υψηλόβαθμο στέλεχος της Ελληνικός Χρυσός.
✊Θα συνεχίσουμε να αγωνιζόμαστε για την αναίρεση της απόφασης, ζητώντας να μπει ένα φρένο στο φαινόμενο των SLAPP που έχει τρομακτικές συνέπειες στην ελευθερία του Τύπου και τη συμμετοχή των πολιτών στα κοινά.
🛑Επειδή θεωρούμε ότι η εξέλιξη αυτή δεν αφορά μόνο το Alterthess και τους δημοσιογράφους, επειδή θεωρούμε ότι μέσω της εργαλειοποίησης της νομοθεσίας για τα προσωπικά δεδομένα ουσιαστικά δημιουργείται ένα κακό έδαφος για βιομηχανία νέων διώξεων SLAPP, είμαστε αποφασισμένοι/ες να προχωρήσουμε σε αίτηση αναίρεσης της απόφασης στον Άρειο Πάγο.
It is appearing very likely that #RationalWiki will be dissolved this year due to lack of legal representation (no pro bono lawyers came forward and we do not have funds to hire a lawyer). Meritless #defamation lawsuits were filed against us by "human biodiversity"/"scientific racism"/pro-eugenics plaintiffs. The plaintiffs are consequently likely to win their cases by default.
