A tech junky and part time photographer. I like creating high contrast, surreally lit architecture photos and light painted still life images. If I'm not out making photos, I'm doing the day time thing that funds my playtime.

I love making high contrast, black and white images. This is a parking garage I shot a while ago. #photography #fineartprints #blackandwhiteart #fineart #blackandwhite #fujifilm_us #fujifilmx #fujifilmxt20
@nellie_m These are great links! Thank you for taking the time to put that together.
@lindyli Maybe more than anyone else, we should be able to see SCOTUS returns. Lifelong appointment with no chance to remove them at the ballot box. We need to see where they make money outside the court.
A detail on an Order of The Elks building in Aurora, IL. The building was built in 1926 and features Mayan artwork on its exterior. #photography #blackandwhiteart #fineart #fujifilm_us
@mokumphoto @narad I have a video on my YT channel of another image edited in a simialr style using the same techniques. Link here if you're interested. https://youtu.be/ZMzlnF2Idio

@roxiqt lol, awesome
@Iain_ms Beautiful image. What body lets you get all the way down to 31?

"The lighthouse stands tall and bright, guiding us through life's darkest moments and towards our brightest futures. May the sunset remind us to find beauty in every day, and the lighthouse serve as a beacon of hope and inspiration.”
Wanted to smooth the water but did not have an ND filter with me. So I stopped down to f16 and 31 ISO which allowed me to shoot a 2 second exposure.

@narad This is actually a day time image with the blue channel pushed to black in the conversion. I typically shoot all my images of this type betwen f/8-11 so I'm probably in the neighborhood of 1/250 give or take (no ND). I have others that I'll go out to 20-30 seconds with an ND filter to get a little movement in the clouds. This silo is in Northern, IL and still standing; I visited yesterday for another few snaps.
@joesabin Ah, yes. I shot Kodak because that's what was available at the Walgreens near me in the early 90's. My dad gave me two rolls@of Ilford HP5 for Christmas one year. Told a friend his son was "into photography" and the guy gave him two rolls to give me. Fell in love with black and white because of it.
