Ok, now going to attempt to move this thing. Fingers crossed.
Hindsight can be so judgy. I think I've finally worked out how to structure the data in my project so that it achieves everything I want whilst remaining intuitive and simple. And now it seems so damn obvious. I bet there's a German word for feeling simultaneously delighted and dense

@nisanharamati that's definitely in my shortlist. Weren't you on a different server? How was your migration?
@pba snap! (though I'm actually a whole penny more generous)
Might be time to take full advantage of this fediverse and switch away from this humongous instance. Any recommendations, folks?
Moa party settings updated so that nothing gets cross posted without the #xp hashtag from now on. Might be time to wind down the birdsite babbling and increase the micro-mammoth musings
Mastodon has changed how I think. Twitter now seems like a server that doesn't want to federate with anyone else, and that everyone else has blacklisted. I'm in awe of how much sense that makes.
@pba I still haven't read any Greg Bear so thanks for the list

Totally gutted to hear the #SciFi writer Greg Bear has died, aged 71.
If you’ve not read any Bear, and you’re into Hard SciFi, I’d throughly recommend:
* Eon
* Eternity
* Forge of God
* Anvil of Stars
* Heads (Novella)
* Moving Mars
