We'll have the privilege to showcase https://tutki.tech at the Agora for Journalism in Tours, France, on 9 April. During our 90 minutes-workshop (which we built in partnership with https://Samsa.fr), participants will be immersed in a #disinformation campaign spread on simulated social media #platforms and mailboxes.

If you are interested in disinformation campaigns, this is a great chance to explore the topic in a fun way!

πŸ… We have gathered 118 photos from specialised websites and forums.
πŸ—ΊοΈ Thanks to them, we have concluded that the VIO is composed of at least 15 units across Russia.
πŸ”Ž These units are divided into three specialities: encryption/cryptoanalysis, computer network operations (CNO), and psychological operations.

Last year, we were able to unearth the infrastructure of the FSB's 16th Centre, combining #OSINT techniques and photos of old medals found on specialised websites. We replicated this method to explore the Information Operations Troops ( #VIO) of #Russia’s military intelligence service, better known by the acronym #GRU. While some units were already well‑documented, others have been scarcely recorded β€” or not at all β€” in open sources.

πŸ‘‹ On October 15 and 16, we attended #Disinfo2025, the EU DisinfoLab's annual conference. This year, over 600 participants gathered in Ljubljana, Slovenia, for two days of discussions centered around many aspects of #disinformation.

Next week, we'll be heading to Ljubljana to attend @DisinfoEU's #Disinfo2025!

Shivika Sharma, our senior manager specialising in digital threats and policy, will present our RADAR framework during the β€œTurning data into evidence” roundtable on 16 October. The panel will explore ways to improve the quality of our findings on regulatory enforcement to ensure they can serve as evidence for future enforcement mechanisms.
