(and then all of the extra support one can find (at least in NZ), like peer support and counselling and such, are all 100% focussed on getting emotional support, and like. That's been the easiest support for us to get, thanks to long-distance communications! What we mostly need is the practical...)
And even as an allo, the concept of queerplatonic relationships has been super helpful for breaking down that line. Being able to approach my closest friendships from that paradigm (even if they're not viewing the relationship the same way) has been incredibly helpful for me in being able to develop closer relationships.
