Brandolini's Law is terribly frustrating. 😖

i really am wondering if it'd be better to just send her raspberry cordial and she can make her own damn raspberry coke.

it's still shipping liquids but it'd be like, only 1L, much more manageable.

Or maybe we can order something online from within Aus and have it sent to her directly...?

Ugh but then we have to find somewhere that'll let us order from overseas

Okay so typically 60 sheets per roll

3.5 rolls?

do i have to unroll them or could i put them in the box?

that's gonna be a fucking big box.

i'm really not sure i wanna, i don't think i can justify the expense.

it appears paper towels may be adequate

but a quick searh indicates 1 paper towel can absorb 15ml

that's what, 200 paper towels for 3L?

How many paper towels are on a roll?

We don't have any packaging to tell us.

yep, auspost specifically requires absorbant material, enough to absorb "all liquid"

i fully have no idea how much of what to use but i'm genuinely not sure i can manage that

one of the first sites we clicked on (american, so possibly irrelevent) suggested that we might require a leakproof container and a enough absorbant packaging to absorb the whole bottle's worth of liquid.

that's x2 1.5L bottles.

dangit my sister had been complaining that a particlar fizzy beverage we have here isn't available in Aus so we were like "cool we'll send some along with the gift" so we bought two big bottles and now we're thinking more seriously about how to send this and uh.

Pals this might be difficult. And expensive.

(Also i sugar lowed just as we started looking into it so that's stopped us from figuring out if we can make this work for the meantime)

According to wikipedia, alcohol-induced blackouts (that is, not remembering the night before) aren't so much related to how much one drinks, but how quickly blood alcohol levels increase.

Which means one can get incredibly drunk and still remember the night before by drinkitg more slowly.

(this is not advocating for doing so, large quantities of alcohol continue to be unsafe regardless. I just found that kinda interesting!)

What does it feel like for you?

For me it's like, kind of a knot in my throat, a bit of a distancing from myself in my head, sometimes it feels heavy in my stomach.

Sometimes it is sort of the traditional idea of repulsion and I do feel a bit nauseated.

But it's not necessarily consistent. If I'm triggered by something particularly bad it will make it harder to handle the stuff that usually doesn't bother me too much (so like I won't be able to listen to most music because like 95% of songs are about romance or sex)

Just because it's normal doesn't mean it's okay.
