On a personal note … I’m moving into a new apartment in Redwood City on Saturday. Just signed a one year lease! Excited to continue my journey with the Pulse.

The PG&E power outages… I stayed up until 4 am one night answering all the emails from readers about how they were without pay for three days. I got dozens of emails from people pissed about that.
We covered a mass shooting in half moon bay. I had to step away from covering that; it got harder the more I learned about the victims.
So what’s happened since? I’m still covering juvenile detention and if you’ve been following San Mateo County news, the county is in hot water over a dozen lawsuits alleging a coverup of sexual abuse within its probation department.
It’s been a month. That’s how long it’s been since I’ve last tooted. And next week, I’ll have a new reporter. No longer just one person at the Pulse! Yay!
