🎡 No more Turning Away, from the Weak & the Weary.
No more Turning Away from the Coldness Inside.
Just a World that We All Must Share,
It's not enough just to Stand & Stare.
Is it only a Dream that there'll be No More Turning Away? 🎡
@Jim_Pembroke Wow Jim, them's fightin' words...give me a sec while I grab my tin hat, lolπŸ˜‚
@parsec Exactly my point! Thank you!
I deliberately didn't aim my comments at any particular 'God', just the concept of why such Supernatural Being or Beings exist & why one should be more relevant than any other!
Why do people believe in a 'GOD'? A Supreme Being who created everything & watches over us all?
A Supernatural Entity who, if you pray to it often & hard enough, will grant your personal wishes & desires?
While this 'God' is listening to you & granting your prayers, in another place people are starving, & dying.
Yet those people also pray to the same 'God' to save them!
How are you right & they are wrong?
Often you all pray to the same 'God' for the same things so what makes your prayer any better than theirs?
Why should this 'God' grant your wish & not someone else's?
If there is a 'God' why doesn't it treat everyone who believes & prays to it the same?

So Aussies, what does tonight's Victorian Election result say to us?
Labor re-elected with minimal damage, a couple of seats lost to Teals & Greens at worse, Liberals even further behind the eight ball than before, the Nats picked up the only LNP gains & the Greens & Teals gained some ground but not enough to make a difference.
Where to now for the Liberals...belted in 4 of the 5 last elections, State & Federal. Are they dead as a Political Power? Results would seem so, with the Nats becoming the major party of their LNP coalition. Meanwhile Independents & Greens gaining some ground but Labor comfortably holding power Australia wide, apart from NSW & that's a story for next year.
So is Australia getting it right & moving forward or still running up & down on the same spot?
Discus!
Followers & Following. That's two different things!
A lot of us are new to Mastodon & we don't know who many of you are....yet!
So some of us post 'Toots' about what we think or who we like & we 'follow' people we think we know or who seem to think like we do.
We'll pick up Followers, we'll Follow others, but we're not sure if all of them are our 'Kindred Spirits'.
In time I guess we'll work it out, but meanwhile it's good to be in the community cos a lot of us are leaving or have left a community we loved & supported for years in another place. I hope this place turns out as good as where I was before & so far, I have no reason to doubt it will be!
Thanks for welcoming me aboard!πŸ‘ πŸ˜‡ πŸ˜‚
Ok Victoria, today's the day for you! Who's gonna win? Should be an interesting count, I'll be watching it unfold, could be fun!πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜‚
@SherbertRainbowUnicorn Watch it, the production is very good & while, at first glance, it's a 'Kid's' show, it's dark & macabre enough to be decent viewing for adults who still have a bit of fantasy left to spend & like I said, some of the soundtrack is very good. You don't expect to hear a String Quartet version of the Rolling Stones hit "Paint It Black" but even if you don't recognize it at first, it's there! πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜‚
So I re-signed for a month of Netflix after a month of Disney...I do that, watch each of the main streaming platforms a month about...I cancel them as soon as I sign up,lol. So Netflix, same old crap movies, very little 'New' stuff' ho hum. But I have found an interesting series, "Wednesday", a fantasy nonsense series loosely based on 'The Addams Family; & featuring 'Wednesday Addams' as a high school aged young girl, sent to a weird college, blah, blah...the storyline is pretty trite, as you'd expect, but the Soundtrack is something else...songs you barely recognize re-arranged & played by String quartets & orchestras...songs from Classic Rock Bands, Heavy Metal stuff done brilliantly, the series is worth watching, well listened to, for the soundtrack alone!! Metallica's "Nothing Else Matters" in Ep. 3 is superb!🎡 🎸 🎻 🎡 πŸ‘ πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜‚
Have fun Bella, I'll see you somewhere in the Milky Way!❀️
