I think it's an easy naming scheme when you have a litter of puppies to try and adopt out.

What are you interested in? I bet people can link you to some communities you might like, if you can't find some just browsing.

Mastodon has microblogging, like twitter/x and bluesky, if you're interested on that! Lemmy is more about finding communities on topics and posting in them.

"I was just laid off by The Washington Post in the middle of a warzone. I have no words. I'm devastated," reporter Lizzie Johnson wrote on X.

Remember to build something of some value to society in your lifetime so someday a billionaire will take and destroy it like a toddler with a toy.

Kite flying is not just about beauty, it's about the battle to knock your opponent's kite out of the sky by cutting their string.

That led to ever sharper, stronger threads, some coated in powdered glass, others made from metal or chemical material that would not break.

Each festival there were deaths, including of children. It was particularly dangerous for motorcyclists who could inadvertently drive into a thread draped across a road, cutting their throats.

Damn!!!!

Hope the safety measures work because it must be really cool to see.

This made me remember hearing about an alcohol "antidote" years ago and trying to remember what it was or even where I heard about it. I don't want to watch Revenge of the Nerds again but I think they used it in that movie to win a contest.

When looking it up I also saw this:

Don't know enough to know if this newer treatment seems useful.

Do you compost? That's the first suggestion I'm finding, but I don't garden so that wouldn't be a useful suggestion for me.

If the boxes have been opened, I don't know what org will take them, but if you have sealed containers, local food pantries will grab them. If there's a local buy nothing group, you might find takers even with open boxes. If you work in an office or group setting, you could give it away. If there's a local group like a church that has meetings with tea or coffee, you could possibly be like "i have a million boxes of stuff I'm not using" but they might be like other orgs and not want to take open boxes.

Some towns will have special recycling times for stuff like that. Biowaste, I think it's called?

I think you should start getting looseleaf tea once you're done with the bags, or just give up on the bags entirely.
