Very interesting. Very positive developments.

Llama 3.1 may have just killed proprietary AI models · Kadoa · AI Web Scraper
Meta's release of Llama 3.1 marks a turning point where open-source AI models match and even surpass proprietary models.
I’ve been incommunicado these last few months, been busy building. Hope to share more soon. but, Historically I’ve been a backend engineer. Hated front-end. (kind fo still do actually). But, recenlty, I’ve had no choice but to dive head first into front-end dev. Between React and Tailwind, it actually isn’t that bad!
last post my mastodon instance pulled in was from April 5th. oops
Gosh, my clourdron instance (that runs this mastodon server) was out of action for a month or two - was an issue with the certs. fixed. I've been pretty busy lately on a new venture and didn't realize this was down!
@SiRrogueKnight fantastic meeting you. Safe journeys!
@SiRrogueKnight saw your message about the meetup tonight. I’ll see you there. Didn’t think the place was still open.
I'm liking @browsercompany 's Arc browser (on both Mac and the new iOS app). But I really don't get what "Boosts" are...
I partially agree. But I believe it’s good habit of the engineer to commit and commit often. If not only for continuity reasons. And squash merge to me just sounds dangerous in case you have to roll back.

Git commit messages are useless
Rethink Git practices on why commit messages in PR branches are often redundant; instead focus on the final state of the code for better workflow practices
I tried using Motion and Reclaim.ai as a way to help me get a handle of my schedule as it gets more complicated. The price, I don't think, justifies it. Plus, they don't support Notion tasks. Hoping for better things to come with Notion Calendar.
Zapier is quite expensive... If I wanted to sync tasks from Notion to Motion, each run would be 2 tasks. The free account gives 100 tasks a month. So, each new task and updates... that would burn through the tasks quite quickly. (e.g. 50 tasks only in 1 month. and that doesn't handle updates to tasks..) Not a cost effective solution for personal purposes IMO..
