I'm horrified that LLMs may be giving programming advice that kind of works, but is actually horribly broken.

Just saw another person ask an "AI" for advice on cryptography. They were using a 255 *byte* key. (Yeah, I know, but it honestly is an easy mistake to make.) The "AI" suggested switching to a 240 byte key instead.

I'm begging you: do not ask an LLM anything where the answer matters and you don't know it.
