@danielpeake absolutely! I need to figure out why my Tusky app isn't sending notifications. Hmmmm
@tkinias I would politely offer it as a tip. If someone messaged me and said 'hey, love the photo. Did you know you could add alt text to make it more accessible to other users?' then I would probably be a bit embarrassed but correct it for next time. Or edit the post, as I keep forgetting you can do over here!

I'm chairing a webinar for University of West London Library Services on 9 December about how we've developed diversity and inclusion in our reading lists and collections, and how we measure the impact this has on narrowing awarding gaps.

Evaluation, Access and Participation Plans, strategies and tactics for doing the work yourself—all will be discussed!

Register here: https://www.uwl.ac.uk/whats-on/inclusive-library-experiences (Online via MS Teams; free to attend.)

 Boost very welcome. 🙏

@nurse_child Hi Leonie, sorry I've followed you back now. I have my DMs so that you can only message if I follow you to stop spam :)
@auntie_beans I should mention, I'm a nursing librarian and not a nurse so apologies, I am not as intimately familiar with our curriculum and not in comparison to the US. The chapter is on digital literacy and I'm looking for student nurses to talk about their experience of digital technology in relation to nursing. Does that help?
@nurse_child that would be brilliant. I'm cathryneap on Twitter so feel free to DM there and let me know when might be convenient to chat, thank you
@auntie_beans Thanks! For the moment I am looking for UK students for the case studies as it needs to link their studies/placements, but if you have any insights I would certainly be interested in hearing your thoughts :)
@nurse_child Hi Leonie, as a recent student would you mind having a quick chat to me about how useful (or not) you found digital tools to your placements or study. Could be twitter, or anything else? It would be great to get a voice of someone who has recently been studying :)
Tonight! 8pm BBC Two, a literary battle for the ages as Jilly Cooper meets Terry Pratchett in #OnlyConnect. It’s The Jillies v The Morporkians!
@librarykirsten Thanks, if you know any student nurses then do direct them my way. The book chapter is intended to be practical and written as accessibly as possible, so I would love to include some student nurse voices. Finding them on Mastodon might be a long shot but I thought if they were here then they'd definitely have some interesting things to say
