@recombobulating People think they’re helping, but it just delegitimises how you’re feeling. And what they’re really doing is avoiding the reality that not everything is naturally good, sometimes things are actually bad, sometimes there isn’t always a neat solution, and that’s difficult to sit with.
@goatsarah He didn’t say it, it was a parody account that tweeted a joke quote. But his allyship is still true, as is the fact that the tervery are becoming more and more vicious towards him.
@ajswritesthings Yeah, nothing feels especially intuitive. At least the one I’m using atm is faster than the other one.
I’ve got two different masto apps on my phone and I can’t remember which is the official one and what the other one is so I’m just going to use them both so it’s like some chaotic fever dream
I’ve got two twitter accounts for different things. One of them I’m setting up here (this one), and one of them I’m setting up at Threads. I actually think that separation works really well, I use them in different ways and want different levels of privacy/utility.
@Bloonface Possibly. It may be where the journos etc go too since many of them, and politicians, are already on instagram and they’ve made it so easy. Early days obv. Don’t think a forerunner will emerge for quite some time yet.

@Bloonface I use instagram as part of a specific community, so for me (or us) it’s pitch perfect, we get to auto-follow each other and have an instant twitter alternative. But for sure if all you did was look at pics of dogs it’s going to be a slog to find what or who you want to listen to.
