@kyle_pegasus I apologize for trying to help, sounds like you have it all figured out.
@kyle_pegasus You might find it easier to source an old camcorder with RCA inputs and a FireWire out (Hi8 era Sony’s come to mind) than a PCI capture card. Hauppage made cards (and software), but probably hard to find.
@jerry sadly, we’ve been here before too. The AV vendors have a history of bricking machines with bad dat updates, and firewalls get ips signature updates that cook CPU’s. What’s changed i guess is “everything is connected to the internet” for direct vendor updates, and we’ve outsourced what little checking that used to happen to the vendor for speed & compliance.
@malwaretech don’t forget Fogust — or is that mostly a Bay Area thing?

@jeffrizzo tried to mobile deposit something Saturday morning, so this has been going on since at least then. They don’t seem optimistic about bringing online banking back up soon either, directing folks to branches to “do what they can”.

Not great.

@starchy no FDIC for Patelco — they switched to NCUA along with a lot of other CUs awhile back.
@hotdogsladies reduce, reuse, redeemer.
@karlauerbach @SteveBellovin @mattblaze the “I See Dollars Now” side in sales would have readily bought into it. Being on the “It Still Does Nothing” side though, it seems sus :)
@vfrmedia @fraying teslas are still everywhere here (I see incel caminos on the daily) — but the dominance is diminishing a lot, and the new ones with temp tags are almost always white base models. The 500+ new 3s and Y’s gathering dust in the mall parking lot was interesting to see, and says a lot about their current inventory management.
@fraying Even in the ‘land of tesla’ here near the Fremont plant — I’m seeing _tons_ of new Hyundai/VW/Chevy EV’s on the road. New Teslas are mostly overflowing their store parking lots, or taking over the lots of nearby emptied out malls.
