Just had a cheesesteak at Claymont Steak Shop and by god it was delicious. A properly made cheesesteak is a gift.
I'll say this for the NYT 36 Hours in London feature...they are right on about Quality Chop House. Get the confit potatoes, which is one of the most amazing things I've eaten. https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2022/12/22/travel/things-to-do-london.html
36 Hours in London: Things to Do and See

Congress should pass the Afghan Adjustment Act. I'd add that similar legislation adjusted the immigration status of Hungarians (1958), Cuban (1966), and Indochinese (1977), helping speed the integration of these newcomers into the U.S. And, in each case, the legislation passed Congress relatively uncontroversially. (I write about this in Americans at the Gate.) That the Afghan proposal is stalled reflects our current immigration politics. https://www.nytimes.com/2022/12/16/opinion/afghan-adjustment-act-refugees.html
Opinion | Do Right by Our Afghan Allies. Pass the Afghan Adjustment Act.

Thousands of Afghan refugees in the U.S. are still living with uncertainty as they wait for resolution of their immigration status.

I've officially ditched Twitter. I'm glad to be here!
A boy and his dog…and a lot of magna-tiles and plastic army men. That’s a good Saturday morning!
