Some of the bluest (turquoise-est?) blues I’ve ever seen—the Mediterranean Sea. I’m more of a forest person, but I gotta admit, Cyprus and the Akamas National Park got to me. Scorching sun, wonderful hikes, the Aphrodite (yes, that Aphrodite!) baths, and plenty of amazing lagoons to have a cooling dip and a refreshing snack. Just amazing.

Sports photography isn’t really my thing, but as a birthday surprise a friend of mine took me to Rad Race, a fixed gear bike craze at the Neukölln kart track. Probably needless to say that proper techno was blasting from the speakers, and the vibes were amazing. As someone who rode a fixie for years, it was a huge throwback, and the culture is still amazing. I had no idea where we were going, but I’m super happy that I decided to take my camera, even if I only had one small lens, that was definitely not perfect for the occasion. Still, amazing night, and only mild hangover. And of course, congrats to Alec Briggs (1st photo) for winning the men’s race, and to Chelsea Wolf (5th photo) for being the last woman standing!

Forests, paths, signs—nature is like a screensaver for the human mind. And as much as I love listening to music, nothing beats ditching my earphones for a hike and listening to the crunch of the snow beneath my feet. It gives me the same childlike happiness it gave me when I was a kid. Touching good, snowball quality snow still makes me giggle. I simply can't get enough of winter in Estonia.

The last photos I shared on Instagram with any sort of joy were from Estonia, one of my favorite countries and places to go hiking. It's fitting to start my Pixelfed presence with some new photos from the same place. Last weekend I went back and discovered some more amazing places, such as the Kasmü peninsula, the Oandu forest, and Altja. Amazing, foresty, and snowy seasides, boats, lovely houses, and more. The best place to spend a February weekend at.
