neither ancient romans nor ancient greeks were white or western and that the western civilisation is the continuation of ancient greco-roman civilisation is as big a lie as the supposed existence of a singular ancient greco-roman civilisation and a supposed historic and/or modern existence of western civilisation

it's just the mythology of white supremacy

you'd imagine men's rights activists would be pretty interested in organising against gendered injustice against men like shoving amab ppl into the military for months or years on end but no, they can't find the time from misogyny and creepy bullshit

it is extremely easy to support muslim women* re: the question of islamic head coverings

- a woman wants to wear some form of it, you accept her word and defend their right to do so freely if need be

- a woman doesn't want to wear it, you accept their word and defend their their right to do so freely if need be

i.e. what a woman wants to wear is none of your business, but their right to wear it, there's where you can take an anti-patriarchal position, and that is to side with them in any case

* ads are waste of energy

* companies factor ad spendings into their prices, we literally pay for this shit

* public ads are ugly and distracting, and they consume public space which otherwise can be dedicated to art or communication

* ads fund bullshit, they're literally socialism for capitalists

* ads misinform consumers and propagate consumerism

* ads fund bigots

* ads are ugly annoying and unnecessary, and serve no purpose that is good for society

ban ads

I wrote about being a disabled cyclist and how my e-bike saves me on a regular basis. The government can do more to make it ok to use a bike as a mobility aid https://wheelsforwellbeing.org.uk/my-e-bike-my-mobility-aid-janets-story/
