Ok this server is too normal. Please standby as I migrate to weirder.earth 👾

Dear fellow #LongCovid geeks if are gonna share research can you please tag stuff that isn’t #OpenAccess? Like #Paywalled or something.

Otherwise wasting my precious clicks…

So I have crazy filters here to catch all content related, but for an overview of what is happening over there… I just visit this every now and again https://twitterisgoinggreat.com/
Twitter is Going Great!

Twitter is Going Great is a project inspired by Web3 is Going Just Great to track the latest examples of how Twitter is actively falling to pieces thanks to its current owner Elon Musk (with special guests Jack Dorsey and the Saudi Arabian royal family).

“Worst fall in living standards since 1956” when these measures began. (Drop equal to 1956.)

Fucking grim.

It kinda works in English (boyqatar), but better in Portuguese and Spanish:

Nudge towards the cliff edge

So we participated in the National Grid's "Savings Sessions" last night via our energy supplier Octopus Energy. We sat with one dimmed ...

Even though I participated last night, the National Grid's #SavingSessions, voluntary effort to reduce demand on an hourly basis is behavioural economics at its worst.

A stand-in for energy literacy and a national, inclusive effort to respond to the cost of living and climate crisis.

The government should, like other European countries, ask everyone to reduce their energy usage at peak times on days without wind.

Smart meter scheme to save money and stop potential blackouts

Homes in Great Britain with a smart meter could save up to £100 on electricity bills by joining a scheme to help balance the supply of electricity.

It is really bizarre seeing the Prime Minister give interviews to Channel 4 News. Every prior government has essentially boycott this channel as it is the only one that actually asks hard questions.

Is this desperation on his part? (His tail-wagging is not going to go over well with *anybody*)

About to stick with one LED bulb for the next hour to participate in #OctopusEnergy drill to reduce energy demand, in case the country faces blackouts in Dec-January. Everything in the house off. Minus fridge.
