finally got my one electronics project of 2018 ordered. wanted to do something a bit old-fashioned and firmwareless so I'm not taking my job home. it's a headphone amplifier for my favorite set, which is a bit too low-impedance for a lot of stuff to drive well. high part count but not all that overbuilt really — design method was to build using modern blocks, then translate into discretes. it's a dual HW rectifier, two linear regs, then 2x(opamp, buffer) with no global feedback
well I can totally replace some of these resistors, but I sure hope I don't have to figure out how this actually works
it's only october and already this beautiful and I am so here for this
i want a tattoo of a trans-flag-colored epilator with the words "beauty is pain"
before this ridiculous excuse for a government decides the constitution says nothing about indulging the whims of mentally ill soyboys like me, at least
definitely time to get this name-and-gender-marker-change machine in motion.
I resent that my computer, the most complex and powerful machine I'll likely ever use, is turned on by some pissant little five-cent plastic button like it's a shitty VCR from the 90's. I want a massive ornate copper knife switch, as long as my forearm, with the lower position hand-lettered "HALT" and the engaged position labelled "COMPUTE." When I go to use my computer, I want it to know I MEAN it.
