finally got my one electronics project of 2018 ordered. wanted to do something a bit old-fashioned and firmwareless so I'm not taking my job home. it's a headphone amplifier for my favorite set, which is a bit too low-impedance for a lot of stuff to drive well. high part count but not all that overbuilt really — design method was to build using modern blocks, then translate into discretes. it's a dual HW rectifier, two linear regs, then 2x(opamp, buffer) with no global feedback
well I can totally replace some of these resistors, but I sure hope I don't have to figure out how this actually works
