But let's not forget that since the mid-2000's Israel has killed over 5 time more Palestinians, mainly civilians, than their own losses.

Otherism is about pitching groups against each other while the government makes policy and runs the country for their benefit and I blame those seduced by this rhetoric as much as the government itself.

I'm not sure that your cultural heritage has much to do with your patriotism.
I am a white middle aged man who has undoubtedly benefited from privilege, yet still I am deeply ashamed to be British.
I blame much of this on the current government but it is not just their fault. They have simply uncovered a national self loathing brought on by otherism. The notion that there are groups in society responsible for all of the country's problems.
@junesim63 Starmer is a Tory with a red tie it's as simple as that. People argue that he can't shout much while in opposition but if he can't do it now when can he?
