Finally stopped into the lil #BeanTree kitchen in #Galway. Delicious, nutritious and great value veggie food hot, chilled or frozen. Wasn’t sure what I expected but it was a lovely cozy lil spot.

This and Small Gods are probably my favourite of the lot. I loved revisiting the Guards characters in subsequent books, but there was something really earnest and affecting about this first one. Grim re-reading now, though.

Got to play this beautiful card game from Nintendo called Hanafuda, their first product, released in 1889! This was a contemporary reprint. The cards are small and very beautiful, and the rules all totally unlike anything I’ve seen before.
