@ncweaver @Pwnallthethings I think both timelines were useful, the "home" one showed me tons of nice accounts from corners of Twitter I'd never have visited otherwise. Wish Mastodon had better discovery tools, including across instances. Maybe some will be built as separate services?
Scott ShapiroMy Twitter TL has thinned out considerable. Infosec accounts I follow don't seem to posting; Law people have migrated here; big blue check accounts are stuck, watching their numbers dwindle; my Twitter friends are over here; Lastly, I don't feel much like participating in Elon's circus. Not throwing in the towel yet, but the writing may be on the wall.
@randomwalker a public ranking algorithm is dead in the water IMO. Google’s algo is private and they still failed to keep their results relevant, the front page is usually SEO fodder.
