Web Developer. I like to learn new things, now learning how to share them. Learning to PKM
@nzakas Usually, when I'm working I don't clean dirty dishes unless I need a break to clear my mind, otherwise I clean them later
@nicole That's interesting, thanks for clarifying 🙂

Mistake number 1: Not creating a git repo for my Obsidian vault.

One year ago I started using Obsidian for PKM.

Yesterday I wanted to update a note, I opened it and saw the content is a dot. My first thought "Okay, maybe I hit a dot when I opened the note, let's undo it".

Nothing changes...The change is older and replacing the content with a dot wasn't intended... I didn't have git, why do I need it?

Yesterday I learned it. Today my Obsidian vault is tracked by git.

@nicole Thanks for sharing them! I didn't know about the Changelog plugin it's quite interesting for keeping a log of recently changed files.

By the way, I always thought what's the purpose of setting the date in some of the files you show in some vids, is it for knowing when the file was edited?

Hey #developers folks! What do you think about being assigned to review a PR where the pipelines failed and the bot you have set up for initial review (in my company we have a bot for code analysis that puts some comments in some issues and bad practices it finds)? Do you think the author of the PR first should fix all the issues and then assign it for review?
@brad_frost, I like to use pomodoro with times between 30’ – 40’ and get 5’ breaks. Depending on the task I’m working on if it’s a bit more complex I take more time on the break and I do some strecthing. I also listen LoFi music

A few years ago I started learning #React, I made small projects to learn it. I was a bit lost and didn't understand a few things about how React worked like React cycle-loop, memo, useEffect, to mention something.

The docs and the Internet didn't help to get a solid base. I did some courses but they didn't explain enough about the cycle-loop or useEffect

A month ago I purchased the #JoyOfReact and my base is better and I'm understanding better how React works.

Today I received it #hacktoberfest2022
